The Chesterfield Lounge was situated at 4721 John R in what is now Midtown but was previously known as 'Sugar Hill.' Sugar Hill was roughly bounded by Canfield to the south, Forest to the north, Woodward to the west, and John R to the east. The Chesterfield Lounge, a Jewish-owned Black and Tan establishment, primarily showcased local talent.
